Our planing forms have long set the standard for planing forms among bamboo rod craftsman.

Genuine Bellinger planing forms are known for their quality, accuracy, and consistency.

Made from 1.25” x .75” x 72” steel bars surface ground to our specifications. Their size and length provide a stable 1.5" wide planing base.

The 60 degree groove is precisely milled to enable a full range of taper adjustments. Push/ pull adjustment screws are placed at five inch increments on opposing sides of the form.

Precision-fit dowel pins maintain alignment between the bars throughout the full range of adjustment.

This is a precision rod making tool for both the beginner and seasoned rodmaking veteran. Available in straight butt or swelled butt configurations.
